EFIWE GISTS: Meet One Of Oyo State's Brightest Minds, David Babalola, Bags Full Scholarship

The performance of Master David Babalola, one of our children in Oyo State who sat and came first nationally in the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE), in 2015 is a pointer to the fact that the lost glory of education could still be restored if we would work together as a team and do the needful in repositioning the education sector of the State.

David Babalola, an indigene of Saki in Oke Ogun part of Oyo State did us all proud when he came out in flying colours scoring A1 in eight subjects including English Language and Mathematics with  a total T-Score of 673.7626.

Today, He is enrolled as a student of Medicine at Nigeria's premier institution, the University of Ibadan.

"I trust that with unrelenting commitment to his studies, young David will continue to excel and should ultimately emerge as a shining light unto his generation. We are very proud of you, David."

" To show how delighted we are with your performance, to encourage our other children to do the same, and to demonstrate our government’s commitment to excellence, I hereby announce the award of a full scholarship to David Babalola until he completes his current course of medical studies at the University of Ibadan."

"In addition, the sum of N250,000.00 (Two hundred and fifty thousand naira) is to be given to David in recognition of his outstanding achievement, and for bringing glory to himself, his family and the good people of Oyo State"  Governor Abiola Ajimobi said.

He that is diligent in his work will not seat before mean men but stand before Kings.
