CONNECTUI: Please introduce yourself
My names are Anana Collins Ehichoya, Also known as Lanky, I’m partly from Akwa Ibom and Edo state.CONNECTUI: How long have you been doing what you are doing and how did you
start?
Actually I started music way back in 2010 but had to stop for educational reason, and got back early last year(2016). When I was young, I really loved music, I mean all genres of music (Blues, Reggae, Hip-Hop, RnB and also Afro pop) I always listened to music before going and after coming back from school back then in primary and secondary school, so when I had the opportunity to go to studio through my family friend Matzbeat who is currently my personal producer.
CONNECTUI: What do you think your listeners will get from your music?
Well, my listeners will learn a lot about life and things we go through everyday of our life because those are what inspire me most times to write my songs..
CONNECTUI: Do you get nervous before a performance?
I can say neither yes nor no. It only happens before going on stage but when I get on stage it disappears.
CONNECTUI: What advice will you give to beginners who are nervous?
Hmm, I can only say they should know that it won't take them far but draw them backwards. So they should be able to fight the spirit.
CONNECTUI: How do you handle mistakes during a performance?
I try as much as possible to get back on track.
CONNECTUI: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Hmm, 5 years from now, I see myself on top of my game, By God’s Grace.
CONNECTUI: Do you have any hidden talent?
Yeah, Acting is something I have passion for but have not gotten the opportunity to go for an audition.
CONNECTUI: What inspired your passion for music and who has been there supporting you
from the beginning?*
Music is something I have loved right from childhood, so these inspired me and I told myself someday I was going to do music, well my family and friends has been very supportive and I appreciate them all.
CONNECTUI: Is music hard?
Music is not hard but if you don't understand it technically you will find it very difficult.
CONNECTUI: Any challenges on releasing your singles?
There are challenges in everything we do in life, but the most challenging part is after releasing the singles and you find out that your fans don't like them.
CONNECTUI: We heard you have a lot of fans, is that right?
Well, yes, I do but I still believe I need to work harder so that I can be known within and outside the Nigeria.
CONNECTUI: Who have you always dreamt of working with and why?
I have always dreamt of working with Tubaba, MI, Davido and Wizkid because I love their kind of music and their songs inspire me a lot.
CONNECTUI: As you are starting out your career in the music industry what steps do
you plan on taking to reach your goal?
Well, no other plan than recording more good songs, shooting videos and most especially promoting the songs.
CONNECTUI: From your experience so far, what have you found to be most challenging?
And how are you dealing with it.

I know someday an apprentice will become a master, so goes to music industry, you should never give up and always keep doing what you know how to best till you get there, because only your hard work, commitment, persistence and dedication can take you to the top.
CONNECTUI: So any last words to your fans?
To my fans I say Thank You very much because without them I won't be where I am, though I know am not popular yet and my music is not been heard all over the country but the little support they have shown and still show I appreciate a lot and I promise never to let you all down
